The Ascended Master Lord Lanto
Ascended Master of the Wisdom Ray
The golden-pink light that emanates from an illumined mind, the grey matter of the brain cleansed until it glows with saffron luminosity—this is possible for each one of us when we tune into the master, now ascended, named Lord Lanto. He serves as the Chohan1 of the Second Ray, the ray of wisdom.2 And the vibration of this ray appears as the color golden-yellow.
In the physical plane and in heaven’s classrooms, the soul of Lord Lanto studied wisdom’s way. His dedication to teaching the way of illumination to every individual on planet Earth continues from his station in heaven, working with us as we call on his name. He can sponsor us individually or as we work in community to bring understanding to the world.
Embodiment as the Duke of Chou
The soul of Lord Lanto has striven through many lifetimes to know wisdom. Notable among these lifetimes is his appearance in the twelfth century B.C. as the Duke of Chou, or the “Yellow Emperor,” considered one of the most renowned statesmen in China’s history and some say the true architect of the Chou dynasty.
The venerated Confucius, studied the life and accomplishments of the Duke of Chou—accomplishments such as the reinstatement of the high principles and the noble culture of former golden-age eras.4 The writing of the I Ching, the creation of a new form of classical music, and possibly the compiling of the first organized treatise on medicinal practices, all have all been attributed to this one Eastern emperor. He assisted in the development of the calendar and forms of martial arts that brought health and an understanding of the noblest paths of self-defense.
Lover of the Divine Spark Within—The Threefold Flame5
An amazing observation about this master was that he had learned the importance of the balance of wisdom with love. For not only did he strive for greater illumination, his devotion had rarely been paralleled by an embodied soul. In Lord Lanto’s final lifetime he achieved what no other person had ever done since the fall of man. Lanto had so adored the Indwelling Presence of God through prayer, meditation and constant attention that an intense golden glow began to emanate from his heart…a glow that others could actually see! This miraculous phenomenon continued throughout the remainder of his life.
For Lanto, this light evidence of his adoration was also meant to be a graphic reminder that we all possess this same divine spark. By free will we, too, can fan its sacred flame until we feel a profound burning within our hearts. And we, like Lord Lanto, may find that we are not able to hide the intense love we have garnered for God and our fellow man.6
An Eastern Adept for the Western Student
Lord Lanto, in his great love for humanity, continues to deliver his words of wisdom and guidance through current HeartStreams.7 Sponsor of all institutions of higher learning worldwide who are open to divine inspiration, Lord Lanto’s long-standing desire is to offer Eastern wisdom to Western minds.
In his May 21, 2005 HeartStream through David Lewis, he explained his approach to the way of wisdom, “My purpose in coming is to sprout anew within you the glowing remembrance of your inner walk with Maitreya8 so that you will again recognize him when he comes to initiate you unto all wisdom, all knowledge and all being through his compassionate heart.
The Alchemy of Wisdom’s Way
Other current teachings from Lord Lanto through this dispensation of The Hearts Center cover many subjects. Listed below are a few—
On teaching others the way—“Each of you can be a teacher at a certain level for a certain subset of mankind, blessed ones. But it requires that you master not only the lessons—all the lessons that we would convey at that level—but that you, through continuing and ongoing spiritual education, press onward in your higher cosmic studies so that through your own efforts as a magnet of fire, your students will also be drawn up and they themselves [will] prepare for their own adeptship….” —Sept. 3, 2006
On the work of the ascended masters on behalf of Earth—“Beloved ones, it is essential that each one who understands the law of life, may realize divine intent at all levels of being and how the wisdom masters are ever striving to move you upward and onward through cosmic awareness.” —April 20, 2006
On the yellow plume of wisdom—“There is a reason why the yellow plume burns within the center of your threefold flame, dear hearts. Have you thought on this? Have you understood the centrality of wisdom as that universal light that does hold [the middle of] the polarity, the balance, of the threefold flame? For without wisdom, love may not truly be manifest as compassion, and faith and power may not be in that balanced polarity that we would see in our own.” —Sept. 17, 2005
On hierarchy—“One day, one among you may come forward to take the position of Chohan of the Second Ray so that I may move upward to fulfill other callings for the Cosmic Buddhas, beloved ones. Yes, I said, "Cosmic Buddhas." Why, did you not know that Buddhahood comes in stages? …There is no limit to what you may learn and discern and become.” —Sept. 17, 2005
Experiment with the Alchemy of Wisdom’s Way
This divine lover of our souls longs to work with us and all of humanity today, right now. Invoke the name, “Lord Lanto!” and see the new vistas and avenues of divine love and learning that will spread before you. “Lanto’s Lanterns,” prayer 20.005, is one way to get this wise master’s attention.
- “Chohan” is a Sanskrit word for “chief” or “lord.” A chohan is the spiritual leader of great attainment who works with mankind from the ascended state. There are seven chohans for the earth—El Morya, Lanto, Paul the Venetian, Serapis Bey, Hilarion, Nada and Saint Germain.

- The wisdom ray is one of seven major rays, or aspects of God’s energy, that may bless the Earth when invoked. In other words, these seven rays are the seven qualities of God that compose the color rings or spheres which surround the Solar Presence. The attribute of each color or ray is vital to our wholeness and every person is meant to master these qualities:
- Blue—the first ray: will, faith and power
- Yellow—the second ray: wisdom and understanding
- Pink—the third ray: divine love and compassion
- White—the fourth ray: purity and holiness
- Green—the fifth ray: wholeness and abundance
- Purple/gold—the sixth ray: service to life
- Violet—the seventh ray: forgiveness, mercy and soul-freedom

- The Threefold Flame is nothing less than God, blazing within our physical form, individualized in each person. It is placed in the secret chamber of our hearts at birth and is withdrawn at transition. Not one but three identifiable plumes—blue, yellow, pink—as seen in the heart of the lower figure of The Chart of Your Buddha Nature rise from the same source—a tiny sphere of white Mother light energy. The blue plume blazes as the will of God. It is also the flame of protection as well as divine direction. The yellow plume represents the right use of knowledge of all kinds, a wisdom and discrimination based on the standards and principles of truth. The pink plume represents love—adoration, devotion, compassion, the very nature of God.

- HeartStreams are up-to-the-minute messages from the ascended masters through their anointed messengers in The Hearts Center movement. These messages vibrate with the masters’ love and wisdom and anchor light in the earth as they are being delivered and when they are replayed in audio or video format. They teach, exhort, bless, uplift and direct us in specific actions needed to assist not only ourselves but our planet.

- Serving currently as the Representative of the Cosmic Christ to Earth and called in our ascended master tradition, “The Coming Buddha Who Has Come,” Maitreya is the embodiment of compassion. He is also called “The Great Initiator” and puts students on the path of the ascension through their paces in order to accelerate their service to God and man. He is the Guru of Jesus the Christ and the one to whom Jesus referred as his “Heavenly Father” during his Galilean embodiment. Maitreya descended to Earth with other compassionate beings from Venus many eons ago in support of Sanat Kumara’s rescue mission for this planet.
